Syriaca.org director, Daniel L. Schwartz, is one of two faculty members recognized by Texas A&M University Libraries as “champions of open access — a growing movement that promotes publishing and viewing research findings for free or at low cost”. Schwartz’s contributions to open access scholarship have been made over the course of 15 years of collaboration on Syriaca.org and its publications, all of which are created with open access data and open source software.
